Jun 2, 2018 - Webflash is from upgrading an existing DD-WRT firmware to a newer build. North America (NA): Go to the netgear-wndr3700v2 folder then. WNDR3700 firmware mysteriously replaced by DD-WRT, potential hack! But it seems to be an open source firmware. I not quite sure what to do next other than buy a new router - does anyone have a clue as to why this might have happened? Has netgear decided to roll out ddwrt to all old routers via the automatic update? Message 3 of 10.
Hi there, This is a really suspicious one. Basically my router went down today about 1pm uk time and when I got home I realised there was no internet either by wifi of wired connection - even though the lights were on and flashing.
When I eventually got into the router via 181.168.1.1 I was rather confused to discover that the familiar net gear menu had been replaced by dd-wrt. I didn't actually know what this was until I search around - but it seems to be an open source firmware. I not quite sure what to do next other than buy a new router - does anyone have a clue as to why this might have happened?
